Are you looking for new texts for your child to read at home? Is your child ready to read something different to what is already on their bookshelf? If so, here is a list of recommended books to read for each year group. Please don’t forget that you can also sign up to the Oxford Owl website (FREE) which provides eBooks for all reading levels.

Phonics Parent Info
We held a Phonics Meeting on Friday 20th April for Year 1 parents. The aim of this meeting was to inform parents about the Statutory Year 1 Phonics Screening Check by sharing information and answering the following questions;
- What is phonics?
- What is the phonics screening check?
- When will the screening check take place?
- What is the purpose of the screening check?
- What will be expected of my child?
- How can you help at home?
- What are pseudo words?
- How are the results used?
