Primary\u00a0 PE and Sport Premium<\/h4>\n

At Eastrington Primary School we believe PE & Sport plays an important role in providing opportunities for every pupil with the potential to change their lives for the better.<\/p>\n

We have welcomed the Government\u2019s announcement in June 2013 to provide additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. We are committed to using this resource in developing high quality PE lessons, alongside greater opportunities for sporting competitions and clubs for all our young people.<\/p>\n

Funding for schools is\u00a0calculated by the number of primary aged pupils (between the ages of 5 and 11). All schools with 17 or more primary aged pupils will receive a lump sum of \u00a316,000 plus a premium of \u00a310 per pupil.<\/p>\n

\u2018Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this\u2019<\/em> (DfE June 2013).<\/p>\n

At Eastrington Primary School we allocated the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of the PE and Sport that we offer by using the 5 Key indicators as a main focus for expenditure. Please see the document below which details how we have spent our funding and the impact that this will have on our school.<\/p>\n
