We are pleased to announce that we have raised £722 for Sport Relief. A huge thank you to all of our families for their sponsorship and to all of the pupils for walking a mile+.

PE Kit Reminder

Welcome Back!

Please could we ask that all pupils have a PE kit in school tomorrow (Tuesday 10th April). We have a PE specialist coming into school to deliver lessons from his new and exciting PE curriculum which we have purchased with some of the Sports Premium Funding.

Now that the weather is slowly improving, it would be advantageous for all pupils to have a pair of trainers in school for PE.

Many Thanks

PTFA

Welcome to Eastrington Primary School PTFA page. We are a group of parents, plus a staff representative , who get together once a half term to discuss and organise a number of fundraising activities.

Chairperson: Amanda Crabtree

Vice Chair: Luisa Walsh

Treasurer: Nikki Lincoln

Secretary: Fiona Waring

Volunteers/Key Leaders

We have a Key Chairperson that overseas the events and parent volunteers that either lead an event or help support an event in some way.

We are always looking for members that would be interested in either leading or volunteering at an event.

Healthy Lifestyles

The pupils in Healthy Lifestyle Club have been making fruit muffins. We discussed the importance of choosing healthier snacks and understanding that the food we eat provides fuel for our bodies to function effectively. The pupils have been learning about the importance of a healthy diet and the impact of exercise. We have been for a run/walk in the local area, learnt a Zumba routine and played netball as a way of keeping active.

Spanish Club

The Year 3 and 4 pupils have been enjoying Spanish Club on a Thursday Evening. Learning how to greet someone, counting and saying the colour names in Spanish.

Healthy Lifestyles Year 5 and 6

We have had a fun 4 weeks at Healthy Lifestyles Club, holding lots of discussion around ‘ How much sugar is in our snacks?’. The Year 5 and 6 pupils were shocked by how much sugar some of our favourite treats contain and would now think carefully as to what snack they choose. The pupils have also enjoyed trying new recipes for fruit smoothies….some more delicious than others but we all had fun trying the different recipes.
