Welcome to our School Website
A warm welcome to Eastrington Primary School in the rural village of Eastrington. We are a vibrant primary school with years of teaching experience and a strong involvement with the local village community. Our children find themselves in a busy and enthusiastic learning environment where there is always much to do, see and learn. The Eastriding Sports Development Team are training 11 of our Year 6 pupils to become Young Leaders. The aim of this training is to teach the skills needed to be an effective leader and to engage pupils in physical play at playtime. We are extremely proud of the enthusiasm and commitment our Young Leaders are displaying- well done!
Our members of Healthy Lifestyle Club have been busy learning about how to make healthier food choices. The activities this term have involved:
- Investigating how much sugar is in our school snack bars
- Investigating how much sugar is in our favourite drinks
- Baking fruit muffins
- Making fruits smoothies
- Healthy snack choices – making humous
- Creating a Healthy Lifestyle poster
Sports Club- Tuesday 3:30-4:30
This term, the pupils in years 5 and 6 practiced the skills needed for Hockey and Cross Country. When playing sport, we encourage all of our pupils to follow the school games values which are:
Lego Club- Friday Lunchtime
Pupils from Years Reception,1 and 2 have loved spending their Friday lunchtime building models with their friends. The pupils have been very creative building houses, aeroplanes, figures, playgrounds and much more. Lego Club gives the pupils the opportunity to share an interest with pupils from different year groups, use their imaginative skills, develop speech and language skills and learn how to follow instructions.
