Natalie Walker, our piano and singing tutor, would like to invite the parents of those children having lessons with her, to a special performance assembly on Tuesday 14th July. If you can make it, you are most welcome to join us. The assembly will take place in the afternoon and will last around 30 minutes. It will be a great way so see how these children have progressed with their music and their confidence.
Things are really heating up for our PTFA Summer Sizzler. We hope that you can make it. It promises to be a great family event with lots of stalls, activities, food and drink. Thanks to everyone who has donated raffle prizes and other items – you are so kind and generous. We are looking forward to an evening of family fun and we all have our fingers crossed that the lovely weather will stay!
Our summer show for Class 1 and 2, takes place next Tuesday, and rehearsals are coming along really well. Thank you for your help and support with obtaining costumes, etc. For the evening performance, please could pupils be back at school for 5.45 p.m. dressed and ready for the stage. Many thanks. Spare tickets will be on sale on Monday if you would like extras.
Next week, all our Year 6 children who are transferring to Howden Secondary School, will spend the full week there to prepare them for their move in September. We will be thinking about them and hope that they have a good time in their new school.
Our Sports Day is planned for tomorrow and judging by the last few days, the weather is going to be very hot, so please remember sunhats, suncream and plenty of water (for children and spectators!). Many thanks for providing the coloured t-shirts and a special thanks to those parents who are able to join us. Also, a huge thank you to our hardworking PTFA team for helping with refreshments. We are all looking forward to a great afternoon.
